The illness is characterized by a loss of logical thinking, which may result in people doing truly crazy things like robbing banks, abandoning children or closing the government. Fox emphasizes that people in the throes of the syndrome are not in any way responsible for their actions and should not be held accountable. “Let us be sympathetic to the plight of those afflicted,” says a Fox News spokesperson. “It’s the Fox News way.
